Welcome to Department of Agronomy and Plant Breeding at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). Our Department consists of more than 20  faculity and staff supporting a body of 160 students. At undergraduate level we offer a general program in Agronomy and Plant Breeding. Our graduate program is specialized into Agronomy and Plant Breeding with masters and PhD curriculum offerd in both fields. The main goals of department are to train  students for professoinal careers and to manage research programs in the area of crop production, crop phsiology and classical and molecular breeding. Our department is also the center of exellence for oilseed crops. The diverse agronomy and plant breeding group within the department conducts research mainly on forage crops, oilseed plants and cereals to improve yield and quality of production, bringing in to focus sustainability and environmental issues.
